Holiday Appetizer Wreath
Holiday Appetizer Wreath
Serves 16
Ingredients:
6 slices bacon
½ cup chive and onion cream cheese
2 (8 oz) cans of refrigerated dinner rolls
2 cups frozen broccoli florets, thawed, finally chopped and patted dry
½ cup diced red bell pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 bunch fresh rosemary
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside.
Unroll both cans of the crescent rolls. On an un-greased or parchment lined full sheet pan arrange triangles with the widest side towards center, overlapping and leaving a 5 inch round circle open in the center.
In a small bowl, mix bacon, broccoli, and pepper.
Spread cream cheese on the dough, leaving 1 inch at the end of each point without the cream cheese.
Spoon the pepper, broccoli, and bacon mixture onto the widest part of the dough. Pull end points of triangles over broccoli mixture and tuck dough under in the center to form a ring. Some of the filling will be visible.
Brush dough with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes then transfer carefully to a serving platter. Garnish with rosemary in the middle and place a candle in the middle for presentation purposes if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
